keep your head down i lived n a converted house once and downstairs beat me to the licence as far as they were conserned it was still a house and it had one
The homeowner that created the apartments has to register the building as a rental with the property housing authorities. If they refuse, you should move to a legal flat. Good luck.
aren't you lucky
Its so annoying when that happens, have you tried leaving the number out and just putting the post code, sometimes works.
So, your making the effort to pay an outdated ,unfair, needless, extortionate fee, that will be squandered with reckless abandon and used to promote the labour government which in turn enforces the daylight robbery with threat of imprisonment.
Make them work for it.Then when they find you, give them the runaround, they cant come in uninvited.
you need to ring tv lic at bristol and explain situation they will then add your flat number to records, you can still be fined even if other flat has lic, not up to landlord to sort out, by the way tv lic enforcement officers have right to get police presence to gain entry.
Three things can be done to correct this legally ,ring TV licencing ( who check details with Royal Mail) , inform your local postal delivery office who can put you on the database of addresses on PAF ( using Aplus which is their system of alerting Sheffield which is where data is collated) or the local council who should let Royal Mail know of any existing addresses. From personal experience once its on Royal Mails database online businesses as well as TV licences can find you from your postcode
i would contact them by phone and explain the situation, see what they say all the best
