I need help filling out a design patent application?

has anyone out there ever filed for a design patent?
Answers:
Yes, and its a pain in the _ _ _ to do. The thing to remember that in order for the item to actually be accepted and a patent granted you must describe in absolute detail how it is supposed to work, and your diagrams must be detailed and good, showing all steps of operation. That is what makes your potential invention different than a patent that might be filed for a similar thing by someone else. Do no copy shape or form of something you have seen and improve on it, the patent will not be granted because it is called infringing on the other items patent.
Other than that, fill out all the forms and as I said make good diagrams, then when you mail it to the patent office ensure that you send all the paperwork Certified, Insured, Return Receipt, and Registered Mail. That way you ensure explicitly in more than one way that you sent the paperwork on a certain day and it was received by the Patent Office.
Good Luck
Yes I have. I am still not waiting for US Government to tell me if it is legal or not.
Patent Pending...are magical words
